On January 17, over 70 guests and supporters came together at the dazzling UpStairs on the Square in Cambridge, MA. Due to the generosity of the UpStairs, 100% of the proceeds went to Girls’ LEAP. We were thrilled to raise over $22,000 for Girls’ LEAP – all of which goes towards ensuring Boston girls learn how to protect themselves in unsafe situations.
The event highlighted our recognition of some key volunteers and Community Partners with a Diamond Award, donated by Joseph Knight of Knight&Hammer.
Honored that evening were:
- Girls’ LEAP’s Institutional Partner, Northeastern University; Bob Gittens, Vice President of Public Affairs, accepted the award.
- Foley Hoag LLP was recognized as Corporate Partner for their 15 years of legal pro-bono services.
- Fran Sullivan, Girls’ LEAP Board member, was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year.
