Aisha Miller

Ph.D., Vice President, Related Beal

"When you're a Black woman, sometimes the only one in the room, it can be intimidating. I’ve been fortunate to have educational experiences that helped me build the confidence to use my voice and exert my expertise.  I love that Girls’ LEAP is doing that for young girls and nonbinary youth, much earlier in their lives."

Aisha is an activist, fighting for change and encouraging young people to follow her lead.

Aisha has been widely recognized for her leadership and community service through awards and Board appointments.  Today she serves the Vietnamese American Initiative for Development; UP Academy Boston; the Urban League of Eastern MA; and the Dorchester Board of Trustees.  Aisha is a Commissioner and Vice Chair on the MA Commission for the Status of Women.

Aisha has had a rich career; she currently is the VP of Permitting, Community, and Corporate Engagement for Related Beal and previously served as Chief of the Civic Engagement Cabinet, City of Boston; Director of Constituent Services for Boston Inspectional Services; Assistant Commissioner of Constituent Services; Suffolk County Probation Officer for Boston Municipal Court; Regional Steward for Suffolk County Probation Officers; Litigation Paralegal for McCarthy & Barrett; and aide to Senator Dianne Wilkerson and Representative Shirley Owens-Hicks.

Aisha attended the HKS State and Local Executive Education program in 2021 and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Hartford, an MBA, and completed her Ph.D. in Management in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix.

We are incredibly grateful Aisha has brought her expertise and energy to supporting LEAP!
