Betty Francisco

CEO, Boston Impact Initiative Fund, Co-Founder, Amplify Latinx

“Making a difference in the lives of our young people of color requires more than good intentions; we must invest in our future talent and in the people, places and enterprises that are creating a sustainable, inclusive and equitable economy."

Witnessing women succeeding as leaders is more than inspiring to young people; it makes believers in them. Betty Francisco is a role model for the young people at LEAP, proving that they, too, can realize big dreams.

A business executive, impact investor, and community leader, Betty is a convener and changemaker, unapologetic about creating visibility for Latino and other POC leaders. In 2022, the Boston Business Journal named Betty as one of the Power 50 – Movement Makers, and Boston Magazine named her as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Boston.

As CEO of Boston Impact Initiative, Betty leads a social impact investment fund that invests to close the racial wealth divide in Massachusetts. She is the co-founder of Amplify Latinx, a social venture building Latinx economic and political power by significantly increasing Latino leadership representation and economic opportunity in Massachusetts.

Betty serves on the Boards of Directors of The Boston Foundation, Nellie Mae Education Foundation, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Roxbury Community College. Betty obtained her J.D. and M.B.A. from Northeastern University and her B.A. in History from Bard College.
